I have been interested in reducing the amount of cardboard in the Whirly Drop design. There are new videos and some photos of the process for testing this and mainly the biggest decrease has been going from two "wings" to one. Then reducing the sale of that one wing. I looked at origami and found a hidden quality of locking in the opening of the containing section.

This is to show the tucking of the containers tube. Also, I reduced the need of a wing. It was successful with this size.
